when editing our video we chose to make the majority black and white, with some shots being in full colour, if the audience pay full attention to the story line they will notice the fact that one the shots with the main character and the male are in ful colour as they are the real couple and the scenes with him with other women are in black and white this is to show the past bad times and the things that he did. here are some examples.

 we chose to incorporate some performance shots into our narrative story line as it broke up the story a bit and made it more interesting.
We chose to use a variety of different angles for this to make it look realistic as if the performer was standing in one position it would be boring and seem to drag on.

For our performance shots we chose to use a black and red back ground as those colours are seen as lustful and romantic.

Analysis of digi pak

some of the feed back I got on the dig paks were great the majority of the people I asked said they preferred the red one due to the fact that it was less sadistic and more romantic which met the criteria of the music video more. some other comments were

black one has a nice lay out but too dark
red is mature and cleaner
brighter colours are more appealing
I prefer to see the artist

my magazine

I made my magazine using another shot from the music video, I chose a simplistic stance of the artist, and making the title of the song simple but decorative, I used a border I found copy right free off of google and used the music platforms logos to show where you would be able to find the song.

final idea for digipak

this is my final Digi pak I prefer this one top the last one as it is generally prettier and I feel goes with the theme of the music video better than the last one die to the fact that it is more of a romantic theme and the featured song on the cd is I put a spell on you which is a romance song.
 I chose to use another shot from the video as this one shows the artist, I feel that this is a better idea as it allows the audience to get a feel of what the artist is about as it shows her on a stage with red lipstick on it lets them know what she is like.

the inside I chose to stick to the black white and red theme as it links in with the video, how ever this time rather than making it look plain I chose to jazz it up a bit and use another shot from the music video and use it as the cd picture, I think it works well because its not too much to look at its a simple picture yet pretty. Again the rose o  the left I got off of google but it had no copy rights attached to it so I did not have to ask for permission.

This was my initial idea for my digipak I chose a red white and black theme as the music video has been filmed in black and white and has an aspect of red as is main theme colour. I chose to use the beginning of the video as my front cover as it gives an insight into what is in the video.

The picture on the left has no copyright attached to it so I did not have to ask for permission originally it was black and white but I changed the colour to make it fit in with my theme.


on this digipak I went for a minimalistic theme as it means that there is not too much to look into its nice to look at and is attractive.

Previously we had a list of band names, and after discussion we chose IVY18, however now we have filmed and completed the video we decided that it does not fit very well with the type of story we are telling,so after evaluating our video and analyzing the story line we decided 'TrippingRed ' would fit better.
